Job Summary:

Primary role is to recommend technical pathway that allows achievement of goals and to execute on that pathway. Contributions have a large impact on business unit goals. Decision making on a project basis.

Key Duties:

Multidisciplinary projects of high importance and high impact to the business unit.

Ability to represent a specific discipline and to add value outside the discipline at the Project Team Level - some supervision from mentor or senior personnel.

Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Applies extensive technical expertise. Comprehensive knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.

Ability to lead a technical area under guidance to accomplish significant technical advances related to project goals.

Ability to recommend technical decisions that impact project delivery.

This person functions as a key technical representative at the project team level.

Ability to translate business unit goals into executable plans understanding technical risks, mitigations and alternatives.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree required or can equivalent and 6 years' practical experience At least 4 years practical experience with Master of Science degree. At least 1-year practical experience with PhD.

Physical Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds of supplies or finished product throughout the work day.

OtherMust be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the work day

Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (gloves, face shields/safety glasses, latex or nitrile gloves, etc.).

Will be required to be fully gowned for performing tasks in a clean room environment

Must be able to adhere to applicable bio-safety practices when on the manufacturing floor or in laboratories.

Ability to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull throughout the course of the work shift.

Experiments may involve materials that are considered potentially biohazardous. Must be able to work with human substances such as blood, urine, mucus, stool etc.

Must be able to identify and differentiate color on diagnostic devices or components.
