UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our UW Medicine Heart Institute team at South Lake Union. The UW Medicine Heart Institute nurses work day shift Monday through Friday, no weekends and no holiday shifts, allowing for work life balance in the beautiful northwest community.
The RN works collaboratively in the clinic with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, research team, and administrative staff. The nurse will coordinate, support, and optimize the care of our patients in different Sub-Specialties of the clinic and our Echocardiography procedural area. The sub-specialties include General Cardiology, Cardio-Oncology, Advanced Heart Failure, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart Services, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Complex Coronary.
UWMC's Echocardiography Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography studies. The RN will be responsible in various echocardiography procedures and IV insertions for Definity and bubble studies.
SCHEDULE
Full-time. Day shift.
REQUIREMENTS
BLS required. 2 years of outpatient or inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry experience required.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
DESIRED
BSN strongly preferred.
