Overview
As a key member of the Infections Diseases clinical research team, you will be working on four to five protocols at any given time. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around patient screening and enrollment, placing orders, and regulatory work. You will act as a liaison among key stakeholders in the institution and facilitate study team meetings. Each day will be different and flexibility is important since you will be juggling multiple studies and responsibilities. Study deadlines need to be met while navigating the logistics of scheduling around patient visits. This job provides a great growth opportunity to learn the clinical research process from start to finish.

This position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Nursing Executive/CNO so you would coordinate with your supervisor and Nursing Executive/CNO to ensure consistent institution-wide compliance with standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities
Your role as a Clinical Research Associate - RN I would entail :
- Providing research-based patient care, education and management for clinical trial participants for adults and pediatrics.
- Performing data abstraction, collection, and entry to support clinical research.
- Preparing submission for all reportable events. Developing, maintaining, and/or monitoring case report forms.
- Ensuring compliance with prescribed interventions and evaluations of the assigned protocol(s).
- Providing data to the collaborating research organization or study sponsor and preparing data reports.
This position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Nursing Executive/CNO so you would coordinate with your supervisor and Nursing Executive/CNO to ensure consistent institution-wide compliance with standards of nursing practice.
Minimum Education
- Graduation from a school of nursing is required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum Experience
- Two (2) years of clinical and/or research experience required
- Clinical research experience preferred
Required Credentials
- (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compact state
- (LC: RN-MISS, RN-ARK or RN-KY) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
Other Credentials
- (LC: SOCRA or ACRP) Certification in clinical research from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) must be obtained within three (3) years of assuming the position
