Job Description
Fast-paced testing facility in the San Fernando Valley has an immediate opening for a chemist position in our GC department. We are looking for an individual who is able to multi-task in a team environment.
It is imperative that our potential candidates have at least 2-3 years of experience working in instrumental analysis, specifically GC-MS / GC-FID and LC. Additionally, experience with Chemstation, OpenLab, Masshunter instrumentation software needed to assay Pharmaceutical, Dietary supplements, and Cometics samples is required. Wet chemistry experience is a plus.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop methods for analytical GC-FID, GC-MS, LC, Spectrophotometer and other such instruments for Chemical Analysis.
2. Analyze finished products, raw materials, bulk samples, utilizing appropriate methods.
3. Perform test method validation and verification studies as per USP guidelines.
4. Familiar with troubleshooting instrumentation.
5. Able to perform test methods from begining to end.
Educational Requirements:
1. Must have a BS in chemistry or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of the current EPA, Pharmacopeia of Europe, United States, and Japan.
3. Must be familiar with Agilent GC-FID / GC-MS, Chemstation, and Masshunter.
