YOUR ROLE
  • Research and develop groundbreaking technologies in the area of silane-modified polymers and silicones
  • Identify opportunities for new technologies, products or performance improvements and develop state-of-the-art product solutions for the Industrial market
  • Plan and execute physical lab work including synthesis, formulation, analysis and testing of batches, products, competitor products including compiling and presentation of results
  • Act as a Technical Team Lead
  • Lead one or multiple R&D projects critical to business
  • Act as an ambassador for the scientific community of Henkel Adhesive Technologies both internally and externally and actively make specialized knowledge available to the organization
  • Identify and engage valuable external partners
  • Act as responsible for new research, IP, publications, technology road mapping and secure IP position in your area of development
  • Act as an advisor for management and steering committees
  • Contribute actively in scientific publications and forums with papers and presentations
  • Ensure high standards in SHEQ, 5S, and lab organization

YOUR SKILLS
  • Master's degree in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry, PhD is advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in laboratory environment
  • Theoretical and practical experience in silicone chemistry and/or experience in SMP technology
  • Experience in the area of adhesives is a plus
  • Self-dependent and efficient planning and performing of lab work and tasks, strong organizational skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Excellent English skills in speaking and writing
