At Wiley, we welcome you for who you are, the background you bring, and embrace individuals who get excited about learning whether online or by book. Learning is for everyone, and so is our workplace. Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion. It's in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.

We are seeking a Program Coordinator to join Wiley's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team (RI&PE). The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for team support, project coordination, and team administrative work, reporting to the Director.

The Program Coordinator will work closely with and support the RI&PE Director and two Senior Managers, along with colleagues from other departments that form our Integrity in Publishing Group (IPG). The work of the Program Coordinator supports the development and implementation of our integrity and ethics projects - designed to uphold the publication of ethically sound, high-quality research within Wiley's Research publishing business, spanning the health, life, social and physical sciences.

The Program Coordinator will have responsibility for data management, systems maintenance, and coordination of internal and external communications. Projects include support for the development and management of our integrity and ethics case management system, assistance with initiatives that support the integration of new integrity and ethics checks throughout the research article workflow, and coordination of integrity and ethics investigations. Overall, the role will support the RI&PE team in further scaling up Wiley's research integrity capabilities and efficiencies.

How you will make an impact:
  • Provide support for the RI&PE Director and the team's Senior Managers, specifically around data management and the work of our project teams. Help organize our work around major themes associated with internal and external thought leadership events (these include conferences, Wiley seminars, and networking events).
  • With guidance from the team, prepare reports that measure activity and progress of our integrity and ethics cases and activities. Help draft text based on these reports for team analysis and planning. Facilitate communication of updates based on these reports. Assist with IPG team organization, including the management of our Publication Ethics email inbox.
  • Collaborate with team members and colleagues on the projects and initiatives that we lead or contribute to and represent the RI&PE team where necessary. Manage administrative issues that arise independently on a broad range of matters, with assistance and guidance from the team as required.
  • Organize meetings with relevant internal teams and external contacts, manage follow-up and action items. Maintain and update our team documents and information, including policy documents, FAQ documentation, and updates and management of the RI&PE internal website.
  • Be an active participant in team meetings. Undertake training initiatives to develop skills self-identified or identified by the Director and Senior Managers.

We are looking for people who:
  • Early career professional, with a university or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Exposure to or experience working in research journal and scholarly publishing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 products; comfort with retrieving and analyzing data from a variety of sources and reports.
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and an enthusiastic problem solver.
  • Aptitude for learning in-house company systems.
