Students' Union UCL is an inspiring organisation that is committed to providing a fantastic experience to the 48,000 students at UCL. We aim to give our students a transformative experience whilst studying at the University, supporting them to navigate the challenges of university life and empowering them to be exceptional leaders in their future lives and careers.

We are currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and renewal. We have an exciting new vision to become one of the best student organisations in the world. As a charity we employ over 80 full-time staff and deliver a wide range of services and representative functions for students.

Our Policy & Research Coordinators are key appointments as we strengthen our research and policy work to support and represent our diverse student population at UCL. You will support our efforts in delivering an exciting programme of policy research and insight work to understand the views and experience of our members on key topics affecting student life, establishing the Students' Union as a thought leader on key issues of importance to students. Through our evidence and insight, we will ensure that their needs influence decision-makers in the university, across London and nationally

You will support the team to provide high quality reports, publications and dissemination events which put the outcomes of our research and insight programme at the centre of UCL's decision making and also impact national policymakers. You will also support us with delivering our key strategic projects including our sector-leading Active Bystander Programme working to create inclusive and vibrant communities, our amazing Student Choice Awards working to promote best practice across UCL, and our research to better understand the needs, challenges, successes and goals of marginalised students, which will contribute towards our new strategy on making the Union more equitable and inclusive.

The successful applicants will be passionate about achieving positive change for students through research, policy development and projects, and excited to work with and support our student leaders. You will have excellent project management skills and an analytical mind, and be able to operate in a fast faced and changing environment.
