The University of Central Florida (UCF) Biomechanics, Rehabilitation, and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience (BRaIN) Lab (hellobrainlab.com) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral scholar to join our interdisciplinary team studying brain dynamics and multimodal neuromechanics of human locomotion. The postdoctoral scholar will also be part of the UCF Preeminent Postdoctoral Program (P3). The position is available for at least two years.
The postdoctoral scholar will primarily work on an NSF-funded project to leverage EEG artifacts for multimodal neuromechanics gait studies and an NIH-funded project to record and analyze dual-layer electroencephalography (EEG) in young and older adults walking with treadmill perturbations.
The postdoctoral scholar will also have opportunities to gain experiences with writing grant proposals, mentoring students, and other aspects of managing a research lab to help prepare them to become independent investigators in the future.

* Ph.D. from an accredited institution in a related field (such as biomedical engineering, computer science, neuroscience, kinesiology, or other related fields) by the time of the hire.
* Evidence of oral and written scientific communication through conference presentations and/or publications.
* Matlab and/or Python coding skills.
* Experience with at least two of the following techniques: EEG, electromyography (EMG), motion capture, expired gas analyses, and eye tracking.
* Machine learning and deep learning skills.
* At least one first author publication.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Postdoctoral scholar must be able to start before 05/31/2022 and is expected to reside in Florida as of the start date.
