Job Summary
The adjunct faculty will have classroom and student laboratory instruction responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Allied Health Department and the Community College of Rhode Island. Primary functions are teaching Phlebotomy courses within the program curriculum in a manner that facilitates student success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Lecture phlebotomy instruction
* Perform and teach phlebotomy venipuncture to students primarily on training arms
* Perform and teach venipuncture and capillary puncture
* Demonstrate commitment to providing academic support to all students
* Facilitate learning in the classroom and student laboratory
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
* Certification in Phlebotomy OR Medical Laboratory Scientist by nationally recognized certification agency
* Extensive knowledge of phlebotomy standards and procedures
