Our Emergency Department Nurse Residency will begin on September 26th, 2022. UW Medical Center - Northwest is a full-service medical center based in North Seattle. UW Medical Center - Northwest is hiring a part time (90% FTE, 36 hours per week), rotating shift NEW GRADUATE RESIDENT NURSE (Registered Nurse 2) to join our Emergency Department. Our Emergency Department is a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center, providing both surgical services and critical care. Our Emergency Department provides specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients, and we have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Resident Nurse, you will work collaboratively as part of a professional medical team that includes doctors, nurse practitioners, intensivists, and therapists. You will work to restore the patients' health by following evidence-based nursing practices and managing complex health issues. The Resident Nurse will identify care needs to help optimize the patient's recovery to health. NURSE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must be a new graduate nurse.

+ Must be willing to work 36 hours per week.

+ Must be willing to work day shifts and night shifts on a rotating basis. The Residency will begin on a rotating shift schedule and will later transition to night shifts only.

+ To be hired, must have passed the NCLEX before September 21st, 2022. UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center - Montlake, UW Medical Center - Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.
