Who You Are
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing with 3+ years' experience in pediatric nursing or BSN
  • Current Colorado (or compact) Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS/First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Colorado Department of Education Special Services License (required within 3 months of employment)
  • Comfortable speaking to Spanish-speaking families about health topics. Conversationally fluent in Spanish is preferred.
What You'll Do
  • Students' nursing assessments, nursing diagnoses, and treatment
  • Oversight of delegated nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel
  • Complete various administrative duties relating to the maintenance of student health files, creation of individual health care plans, and assistance with updating Medical 504 plans
  • Promote Atlas culture through providing appropriate medical resources to families in need, encouraging high expectations, and focusing on academic achievement for students
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
Compensation
  • $50,000 - $60,000 annual compensation
  • Signing bonuses range from $2,500-$5,000
Annual Calendar and Start Date
  • 220 work days per academic year
  • 6 sick days and 4 flex days per year
  • The ideal candidate will begin in May 2022
