Principal Scientist / Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry
Base Salary: $160,000 - $210,000 (w/ Target Bonus and Equity)
Location: San Francisco, CA

These positions are leadership positions, where you will have the opportunity to directly impact and handle the Drug Discovery / Chemistry divisions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with leading medicinal chemistry activity and responsible for developing quality leads across multiple projects/programs
Strong Understanding of biochemical pharmacological techniques
Strong Understanding of ADME in relation to Medicinal Chemistry techniques
Take things from Pre-Clinical research to IND -Enabling studies
Work Cross-Functionally with other departments to deliver on projects and project deadlines
Be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training for your group

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Doctorate Degree in a Chemistry Discipline (Ideally Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry)
At least 5+ years in Drug Discovery teams in a Biotech or Pharmaceutical setting
Management experience w/ strong communication skills
Strong demonstrated expertise in identifying and validating lead compounds against difficult targets
Strong demonstrated expertise in all aspects of HIT and lead generation
Strong intra-personal skills
