Can you provide strategic and operational leadership on all aspects of business continuity and organisational resilience?
Do you have significant experience of business continuity, emergency planning and critical incident response in a large, complex environment?
Do you have experience of engaging across multiple teams?
We are looking for an experienced individual for this new role, which will drive the University's commitment to ensuring continuity of priority activities, including teaching and research, and supporting their recovery following a disruptive event. Relevant experience and a record of significant delivery in business continuity, emergency planning or related disciplines is essential for the role.
Based in the Risk Management Directorate, you will lead the further development, delivery and embedding of a programme of work to achieve organisational resilience. You will engage with colleagues across faculties (e.g. engineering and physical sciences, medicine and health, business etc.), professional services (e.g. estates, IT, student education services, etc.) and the senior leadership team, providing advice, guidance and support to ensure that appropriate arrangements are refined, integrated, embedded, continuously improved and operate effectively and efficiently across the University. You will be able to influence and persuade colleagues to deliver an ambitious agenda across a large and complex organisation, in order to deliver a holistic business continuity solution.
