Be part of a new HR Operations team providing University wide, customer centric HR Services to a broad range of stakeholders, whilst playing a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and standardisation of HR Operational Services.

The University of Adelaide is seeking to appoint a HR Officer to join a dynamic, newly formed team who has a passion for service delivery and business process improvement. An individual who continuously pursues opportunities to re-design, simplify and improve the service delivery model.

The role is responsible for the provision of HR Operational Services and coordinating a broad range of activities across all areas of the employment lifecycle. This includes the coordination of end to end employment contractual arrangements for fixed term, continuing and casual staff; the delivery of Faculty based administrative processes and supporting hiring managers for contract renewals and direct appointment.

The HR Officer will also manage HR records within the core HR Systems ensuring high levels of data integrity and contribute to the review and development of HR Systems and business processes.

This role would suit someone who is excited about the challenges associated with working in a complex organisation.

To be successful you will need:
  • Extensive knowledge of HR practices and HRIS systems including experience in providing HR operational services and support in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply work independently, apply sound judgements and problem solving in the application of HR policies, procedures, guidelines and systems.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes in the delivery of procedurally compliant services.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating both verbally and in writing in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to delivery client centric results.
