Come be a part of the Neuroimaging Laboratory in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology. This advanced imaging facility houses two lattice light sheet microscopes, a custom built adaptive optics enabled lattice light sheet microscope, one Gaussian light sheet system for cleared tissue-imaging, and a wide variety of general use instrumentation for fixed and live-cell applications. We collaborate with leading methods developers to build microscopes and advance the frontier of the field, while also operating a robust training program that enables biologists to rapidly utilize the latest technology in their projects.

The Lead Researcher will support integration of microscope technology into investigator-lead projects, and will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of the instruments in addition to user guidance and training. There will be opportunities to grow within the role with the potential to become more involved with research and development as they familiarize themselves with our instrumentation and processes.

Successful candidates will be intellectually motivated, have the ability to follow standard operating procedures with a high attention to detail, and have either a background in engineering or extensive microscope experience in a related life science or physical science field. Programming experience in Python and/or MatLAB is desirable but not required.
