Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), a private institution with a 140-year tradition located in Albany, NY, is seeking applications for a non-tenure track teaching faculty position (rank commensurate with experience) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which serves BS, MS, and Pharm.D programs. We seek candidates with broad expertise in pharmacology. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in pharmacology and prior teaching experience. Successful candidates will coordinate with Pharmacy Practice faculty in teaching an integrated course sequence: Pharmacotherapy , Pharmacology , Medicinal Chemistry (PTPM) in the Pharm.D. program. PTPM areas include: respiratory, endocrine, rheumatology/oncology, cardiovascular, and infectious disease. In addition to the PTPM sequence, candidates will be expected to contribute to teaching in our BSPS and MSPS programs, notably through mentorship of students in Capstone experiences. While not a primary focus of the position, opportunities to collaborate with existing faculty research programs. A commitment to excellence in teaching and student development is essential, as are excellent communication skills (both verbal/written), interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Participation in the service missions of the College is also required.
