We will foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic, and population research.
*Position Summary:*The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Research Consultant contribute to all aspects of the HealthMpowerment (HMP) platform, study design, and app content. They also moderate forums on the HMP app to encourage users to engage in conversations about what matters to them especially when it comes to topics that might otherwise be hard to talk about such as racism, gender identity, sex and sexuality, and HIV. Being part of the DEI Research Advisory Board provides opportunities for personal and professional growth like reflecting on life experiences through writing and dialogue with peers; contributing to future data analysis and results reporting from the HMP study; and exploring career paths in health, healthcare, and research. DEI Consultant can also offer advisement and assist on other study projects as their schedule permits.
*Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:*Bachelor s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
*Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:** Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, which are required for interacting with study participants, colleagues, community partner organizations, and project staff.
* Must have the ability to work independently; manage, identify, and coordinate a variety of research activities as well as the ability to communicate and facilitate research-related tasks to team members in a timely manner.
* Must possess knowledge of research principles and practices, and have the ability to work well within a diverse team.
*Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:** Prior experience working on a collaborative team, advisory board or committee.
* Experience with content creation, social media engagement, and advertisement. targeting youth, young adults, people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ folx.
* Highly prefer candidates who have experience working with LGBTQ+ and other populations experiencing health inequities.
