Responsibilities of the Scientist, High-throughput RNA Synthesis:
- Develop a high throughput process to synthesize and purify chemically modified RNA.
- Assist in method development to analyze and purify synthetic RNA.
- Supply synthetic RNA to support preclinical programs.
- Assist in ordering supplies, making reagents, and maintaining a safe laboratory.
- Perform experiments, organize and analyze data, interpret results, write protocols, and summarize work in presentations and technical reports, as well as contribute their knowledge as an oligonucleotide expert to cross-functional project teams.
Requirements of the Scientist, High-throughput RNA Synthesis:
- BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields with 3-7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with solid-phase synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotides.
- Experience with analytical methods to examine biopolymers including HPLC (AEX/RP), LCMS, and UV-vis spectroscopy.
- Experience using Dr. Oligo and MerMade synthesizers is a plus.
- Experience with synthetic organic chemistry techniques including batch synthesis, extraction, and flash chromatography is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present effectively to others with diverse scientific backgrounds.
