We are looking for an experienced Research Associate Lead to provide technical leadership in the assigned area (e.g., chromatography, ligand-binding assay, flow cytometry, molecular biology). Trains junior staff and oversees their activities, including: instrument operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Executes projects, and identifies and acquires the necessary facilities, equipment and procedures performing the below duties.

What you will do:
  • Oversee and perform study activities according to the Contributing Scientist or Principal
  • Investigator and according to GLP regulations and as described in the appropriate oversight
  • documents (ex: SOPs, Study Protocols, and Analytical Methods).
  • Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting instruments or overseeing junior staff
  • when performing these activities.
  • Under the Scientist directive, assist with the development and implementation of new
  • assays and analytical methods to support internal and client sponsored studies.
  • Critically analyze study or project data including QC of data or oversight of junior staff when
  • performing these activities.
  • Participates in reviewing SOPs/Forms
  • Other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
  • B.S./M.S. degree in biological, pharmaceutical science, or related scientific discipline, or other applicable scientific work experience
  • 4 + years' experience working in the Laboratory Sciences department, (or equivalent regulated laboratory environment)
  • Preferred Experience with GLP, knowledge of bioanalysis, and familiarity with analytical equipment e.g., flow cytometer, Mass Spectrometer
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and database programs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, software manuals, study documents, and procedure manuals
  • Extensive knowledge of basic math skills
  • Good oral communication skills: the ability to learn and understand complex theories and applications; the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
