The role

We are looking for a Research Centre Manager for the Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law in the Law School at the University of Southampton. You will work closely with colleagues in the Law School, across the University and externally to develop external partnerships and develop and promote the Centre's work.

The Stefan Cross Centre was founded in 2018. It provides a space to research the structural, societal, legal and regulatory issues associated with gender discrimination from a multi-disciplinary perspective. Its research seeks to better understand the roots of the phenomenon, raise awareness about it and find more effective ways to address it.

This is a 3 year fixed term, part-time (0.2FTE), 7 hrs per week position with flexibility on the days and times worked subject to the needs of the Centre. This role is based at our lively Highfield campus, with the option to work mostly from home subject to the needs of the Centre. Occasional attendance at events out of standard hours will be required.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have an interest in gender equality law and practice and an awareness of individuals, organisations and institutions working within this sector.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident in liaising with external agencies and with colleagues across the university and have the skills necessary to plan your own work and pro actively develop the Centre's activities.
