The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles is recruiting for full-time faculty positions either at the Clinical Instructor, Assistant, or Associate professor level, in the Health Sciences (HS) clinical faculty series. The selected candidate will join eight full-time faculty members and two part time faculty members and six fellows in a major academic medical center with an established fellowship training program. Candidates must possess a medical degree and valid license, certification in the American Board of Pediatrics, and be either Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in the practice and teaching of clinical Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and have clinical experience in Pediatric Liver Transplantation.

 

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles was established in 1974 and since then has established a long legacy of excellence in patient care and research with many of its faculty recognized as leaders in the field nationally and internationally. The Mattel Children's Hospital is located in the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and is dedicated particularly to tertiary and quaternary care across all pediatric subspecialties. Our Division was on the frontier of developing pediatric liver and intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation programs. A strength of our clinical program is the longstanding close collaboration with our surgical partners in transplantation and pediatric surgery. We have a robust outpatient clinical program both on the main campus and also in three community clinics. Our Division is supported by dedicated GI/Transplant nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers. Mattel Children's Hospital ranked in all 10 children's specialties in U.S. News and World Report.
