Continuing position full time position available immediately.

The University of Adelaide English Language Centre (ELC) offers a range of General, Specialised and Academic English language programs and English teacher training services (TESOL) to the international and local market. The English language program offerings include packaged pathway, short term programs and post entry Academic English skills offerings. The ELC works closely with schools, faculties, external partners to support the University's strategic and commercial goals.

The Manager, Learning and Teaching, under broad direction will lead the development and implementation of ELC's educational programs and actively contribute to the development of ELC's strategic direction and strategic relationships.

The successful candidate will combine proven experience in leading teaching and curriculum design excellence and people management, with a stakeholder focussed and responsive approach.

To be successful you will need:
  • Sound knowledge of $1$1principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in ESL program and operations management in a business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in high level management and administrative roles, including process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a busy environment, with a collaborative approach to achieving strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated high level working knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, including ESOS & the National Code.
