We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and ambitious Research Support Assistant to join our teams of researchers at the Centre of Intelligent Robotics Lab at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The team are currently working on translational research, specifically, the development of a wide range of affordable and innovative robots that are tailored to meet patients' needs, deliver effective diagnosis and personalised rehabilitation therapy for the ageing population with knee osteoarthritis.
You will work on an exciting innovation research project funded by EPSRC and UKRI. Specifically, this research will focus on developing a transferable technology for knee osteoarthritis patients' rehabilitation at home. Your will work to support the development of a new exoskeleton design and validation for knee rehabilitation including design, manufacture and test of the knee exoskeleton. This position will offer opportunities for close collaborations with industry experts, clinicians and patients.
You will have a strong background in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics and Robotics or a closely related discipline. You will have knowledge and expertise in mechanical design and validation of knee exoskeleton.
