As a dual-intensive Business School, our distinctiveness comes from a forward-thinking approach to business education. We place sustainable innovation at the heart of our educational outlook, underpinned by world-class research. We are interdisciplinary by nature, bringing innovative solutions to real-world issues. We are integrated into the local business community as a hub for knowledge creation and exchange. We are proud that our industry collaborations and global partnerships benefit students, businesses and the community. Our commitment to gender equality was recognised by our 2020 Athena SWAN bronze award.

Not only will you be welcomed into the Department of Accounting and Finance (A&F), where internationally-recognised colleagues pride themselves on teaching excellence, you will be joining a team of world-leading researchers - indeed, the REF2021 has confirmed KBS as a leading research business school, with 80% of our outputs rated as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*). We invite applications from dedicated scholars keen to join a dynamic team and make a strong contribution to both research and teaching, as well as our student enterprise and business engagement activities.

Although the post holder will provide teaching in the core areas of Financial Accounting, you will also be expected to support the Department in the integration of sustainability-related themes into the current Accounting curriculum and develop new modules in the area of Sustainable Accounting/Accounting for Sustainability.

You will have previous teaching experience and a clearly defined research agenda with a track record of regularly publishing in top peer-reviewed journals. Evidence of income generation, impactful research, or corporate engagement is expected in the case of appointments at the Senior Lecturer level.

We encourage applications from research-led educators with experience in demand-driven curriculum development, technology-enabled learning, and/or executive education and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. We are especially keen to hear from those whose work relates strongly to the School's mission of sustainable innovation.

Although based at Canterbury, you may be expected to take up teaching and other responsibilities at the University's other campuses, study centres and off campus for the delivery of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.
