Grade 7

Full Time / Fixed Term Contract to 31 December 2022

Closing date 13 June 2022

Background

We are seeking to appoint a Grade 7 research fellow (RF) to work on an NIHR-funded research project looking at the role of co-researchers working on a study about sexual violence. The post is from 1/7/2022 to 31/12/2022 at 100% (Full time). We can consider part-time job share for this role. The RF will work as part as a strong, multi-professional team, specifically linking with five adult co-researchers, with lived experience of sexual violence and abuse who are currently working on the study. The RF will be supported day-to-day by and managed by the study co-Principal Investigator, Professor Caroline Bradbury-Jones. The RF will assist in research (by carrying out a literature review and qualitative data collection).

Adopting a broadly auto-ethnographic approach, the co-researchers will capture their own lived experiences of working on an NIHR funded study (called PROSPER). The co-researchers will choose their own methods, thus enhancing a sense of control and empowerment. They will be supported to undertake their own analysis, thus maintaining control over their personal data. We expect that a suite of creative outputs will be produced for dissemination in multiple contexts. Additionally, a literature review will be published open access so that findings are accessible to multiple stakeholders.
