The Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production, based in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, is a well-established research centre seeking to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and research leaders by providing direct experience with industry partners.

Now in its final phase, the Centre seeks your strengths in research and operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project management to join the team in the role of Centre Manager.

In this position, you will work closely with the Centre Director to lead activities aimed at increasing the scientific outcomes of the Centre as well as supporting PhD students in the completion of their studies and the research programs.

As a part of the leadership team, in this multi-faceted role you will coordinate and head the operational management of the Centre, including coordinating its research and administrative functions, assisting with strategic planning and delivery, engaging with stakeholders and strengthening relationships.

To be successful you will need:
  • Experience in all aspects of project management, with a proven record of successfully managing research or technical projects through to completion
  • Demonstrated experience working in a research/technical environment, including supporting research activities, and preparation and submission of project reports
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and to develop collaborative teams working in both academic and commercial environments
  • Excellent technical writing skills with experience in writing for various audiences across a range of media, and managing web-sites and social media.
  • Experience in working with industry, including managing industry relevant research & development projects, and engaging and negotiating with partners

The successful candidate will have highly developed planning and organizational skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
