The Velasquez laboratory in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Department is looking for a driven and creative scientist/lead researcher to join the team. We develop cell-based immunotherapies for high-risk leukemias with a strong focus on antigen discovery, bispecific CAR design and studying mechanistic implications of CAR T cell therapies. Our group provides a supportive environment, surrounded by an enthusiastic group of researchers and access to top-of the line resources.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to become part of a collaborative environment and develop and characterize novel immune-based therapies in project with high potential for translation into clinical trials.

Preferred skills:
- The applicant must be able to conduct independent research in molecular biology, immunology and/or cellular therapy
- Experience in molecular assays and tissue culture techniques.
- Experience performing multicolor flow cytometry
- Experience conducting in vivo experiments is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Eager to learn and implement new techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required.
Scientist
- Seven (7) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required.
- Five (5) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a Master's degree.
- Three (3) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a PhD.
- Five (5) years of relevant, post-degree work experience is required with a Bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a Master's degree.
- No experience is required with a PhD degree.
