Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Staff Scientist/Study Director in Residue Chemistry to work in Columbia, MO.

Staff Scientist, Study Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Completes work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
  • Conducts and monitors studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality.
  • Writes reports on studies.
  • Works with independence on studies and assignments.
  • May serve as a technical leader within a group or team and will also serve as project leader/study director on assigned projects.
  • May provide complex analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments
QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas and a minimum of five years of experience in a directly relevant setting.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field and three years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree and experience.
  • A PhD in a relevant field may be substituted for Bachelor's or Master's degree and experience.
  • In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting is required.
  • GLP experience required.
  • GLP study director or project management experience preferred.
  • Regulatory testing for the agriculture industry preferred.
  • Chromatographic interpretation experience preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional InformationPosition is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
