The exact timetable will depend on the subspecialty to which the CL is attached (the appointee would rotate through working in haematological oncology, laboratory haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis, paediatric haematology and haemoglobinopathies). An individual programme will be finalised according to the research and clinical training needs of the successful candidate as identified from regular reviews and formal assessments with both dedicated academic and educational supervisors.
Teaching
The appointee would receive plentiful opportunities to develop their teaching skills. Expected contributions to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes would include the MBChB, Biomedical Science BSc and MSc Clinical Oncology courses.

The Clinical Lecturer will be offered research facilities and support to help establish her/his research in Birmingham. There will be strong encouragement in common with other research active staff in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences that the Clinical Lecturer should obtain funding for her/his research activities during the course of lectureship.
