A bit about Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations...

In the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations, we are responsible for the core range of activities that promote and engage with our external environment and stakeholders. This includes both prospective and current students, businesses and our local community. Made up of Marketing and Communications, Student Recruitment and Outreach and External Relations teams, we work together to plan and deliver key activities that support the University's ambitions for growth, diversity and an increased profile.

The Student Recruitment and Outreach Team is a busy team whose core focus is the provision of information, advice and guidance to prospective students to help inform their decision-making about higher education. We work in partnership with a wide range of people across the University in the delivery of that information and guidance.

So, what will the role involve?

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic team member whose primary focus will be to handle enquiries from prospective students, through a variety of different platforms. The post-holder will be enthusiastic about customer service and have a good understanding of the student journey. If you're passionate about student recruitment; organised and hard-working; flexible, adaptable, and have experience in working with a wide range of different stakeholders then we want to hear from you.

As with all roles in student recruitment, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of different activities alongside your core role, including student interviews, recruitment events such as Open Days and Clearing. It is a busy and varied post for the right person.
If you've got further questions, please contact Kathryn Healey, Senior Recruitment Officer, on k.healey2@salford.ac.uk for an informal chat.

We also have a 12 month Fixed term Contract available

What's in it for you?

With over 200 languages spoken across Greater Manchester, we want to create an inspirational, inclusive learning and working environment, celebrating the diversity of our University community in our everyday conversations. Our student population is already incredibly diverse, and we want to ensure this is reflected across our colleague profile as well.

To help you, we have wide ranging colleague support networks, promoting awareness events throughout the year and giving you the opportunity to share your experiences with others. Our extensive faith centre facilities reflect our continuing commitment to support the student and colleague experience and the beliefs and values you bring to our community.
