The Learning Enhancement and Innovation (LEI) team create excellent student learning experiences for a diverse range of students.

This is an exciting opportunity for those that enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary, fast-moving team, and have the ability to share work and knowledge in a supportive environment. We work collaboratively, taking an agile and iterative approach often within tight project schedules, and we are seeking candidates to join the LEI team and shape the future with us.

Working under broad direction, the Senior Learning Designer provides pedagogical focus on priority teaching and learning projects within tight schedules. Working closely with stakeholders, this role is responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, and evaluating the learning design support processes to deliver project outcomes. The Senior Learning Designer collaboratively conducts a range of activities including process design, training and advisory services, and hands-on design and development of student-centred learning experiences.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in learning design including operating within policies, procedures and processes applicable within a tertiary education environment.
  • Strong pedagogical understanding with demonstrated application to the design and development of blended and/or online learning activities (including within a Learning Management System) and the implementation of curriculum design principles.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and implementing effective processes for undertaking learning design and development, including within learning technology pilots, in the higher education sector to meet project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead project contributors and stakeholders within a busy environment with a collaborative approach to achieving project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills including a capacity to act independently within established guidelines and proactively respond to change in a fast-paced environment.
