Job Summary
This position will provide clinical services such as serving as an attending physician supervising clinical service with the neonatology service at Kentucky Children's Hospital and all neonatology service locations. You will be trained to become an active member of the neonatal ECMO team and then participate on the neonatal ECMO team. You will be expected to do a minimum of 9 weeks of daytime service at UK and 9 weeks of daytime service at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Then you will fill in service block equally amongst the rest of the faculty members to fill in any uncovered blocks once everyone's minimum service time within the group based on everyone's distribution of effort has been accounted for when making the yearly service coverage schedule. You will be expected to cover a minimum of four night calls per month at the UK NICU and at Frankfort Medical Center. Once the night call schedule is complete for coverage of the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, UK, and the Corbin Baptist NICU, you may be asked to provide additional night coverage. These additional night calls are distributed equally among the NICU faculty as well.
This position requires an MD or DO, or the foreign equivalent, as well as completion of Residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship in Neonatology. Qualified applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics, board certified or board eligible in neonatology, and eligible for a state-required medical license.
