DENVER MATH FELLOWS - Denver Public Schools
Denver Math Fellows instruct small groups of students in mathematics in one of the schools in Denver Public Schools. It is a full-time, in person position, working school hours, for an entire school year. You will work with small groups of students. The most important role for Fellows is to develop strong relationships with students and their families. Through these strong relationships and the use of the provided curriculum, your instruction will support students' access to grade level mathematics.
Denver Fellows is an urban education fellowship where students receive individual support in math as part of each school day and fellows are provided a meaningful service year opportunity. Many fellows utilize the service year as a pathway into teaching or as a gap year prior to furthering their own education. A state teaching license is NOT required for this position.

Education experience:
- Successful completion of a minimum of 48 college credit hours
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A commitment to teach small groups of students, math content, for an entire school year
- A desire to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- A flexible attitude and disposition
- Ability to accept, implement and grow from feedback
- Ability to annotate lesson plans to meet the needs of groups of students
- Desire to participate in professional learning to learn important aspects of the role
- Background with math content preferred but not required
- Spanish speakers invited to apply

Compensation:
- $19.49 per hour for a total salary of $29,000; the salary is paid twice a month over a 12-month period.
- Fellows work a 186 school day calendar; school holidays and summer off
