Nursing Instructor - Registered Nurse / RN (Healthcare)

Job Responsibilities

As a Nursing Instructor you will facilitate learning and development as well as provide academic guidance and tutoring to students as needed.

Additional responsibilities:

• Using assessment and evaluation strategies
• Participating in curriculum design and evaluation
• Serving on department, campus and community committees as assigned
• Attending and participating in all required faculty meetings and in-services, campus-wide events and activities
• Monitoring and accurately recording student attendance, grades, and progress, maintaining student confidentiality at all times
• Planning, monitoring and evaluating instruction provided by associate/assistant nursing instructor
• Working collaboratively with the Director and other faculty to develop appropriate instructional materials, including information sheets, modules and testing materials
• Adhering to all State Board of Nursing regulations while maintaining professionalism and serving as a role model to students
• Preparing lecture materials and conducting theory presentations
• Maintaining professional competence by activities which may include nursing practice, community volunteer, continuing education, writing, or participation in professional associations

Nursing Instructor - Registered Nurse / RN (Healthcare)

Additional requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Portland
• BSN from an accredited college or university with a clinical component
• Meet all of the requirements as set forth by the Board of Nursing in the state of employment as well as regulatory and corporate requirements
• 3 years of clinical experience as an RN in the past 5 years
