Faculty Education and Pedagogy Facilitator

Reporting to the Senior Director of Faculty Education and Pedagogy, the Facilitator of Faculty Education and Pedagogy will carry into effect the strategy for developing faculty teaching skills and provide ongoing support for the understanding and implementation of best pedagogical practices. The Faculty Education and Pedagogy Facilitator will ensure high quality teaching and learning in accordance with curriculum goals by organizing and leading discussions, workshops, and one-on-one instruction/consultations on course design, course or activity delivery, assignment design, student assessment, inclusive teaching and other topics as needed; developing and curating content and resources for faculty related to instruction and pedagogy relevant for our curriculum; assisting with a needs assessment to determine areas for faculty development; and performing teaching observations and review learning activities to help identify areas of strength and improvement. The person in this role will also support the medical education research initiative through the implementation of faculty training programs that impact pedagogy and thus student outcomes. This position will have an adjunct faculty appointment in a relevant academic department and assist with teaching in areas of content expertise and / or through medical student small group coaching. Occasional in-state, regional and national travel is required. The position can be located at any of our campuses (Athens, Dublin, or Cleveland) with a potential for hybrid work options as well.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications -Doctoral degree in Education, Health or related field
This position requires an educational foundation of principles, processes and experiences that one who has an advanced degree will have been exposed to and applied in the educational setting.
-3 years of experience designing and facilitating professional development opportunities related to pedagogy for higher education faculty.
-Established track record of teaching excellence, as demonstrated by student, peer, and supervisor evaluations.
-1 year of supervisory or managerial responsibilities Preferred Qualifications -5 years of experience designing and facilitating professional development opportunities related to pedagogy for higher education faculty.
