Overview
AIR is currently seeking a Research Associate to join our Education Satistics program area within AIRs Human Services Division to aid us with improving outcomes in Education. The ARIS project has a general requirement for the capability of efficiently compiling, maintaining, and analyzing survey data; writing reports; and making available through publications, the internet and presentations, the information gathered and maintained by National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the U.S. Census Bureau, and other federal and non-federal education data sources.

The project supports the activities of the NCES Annual Reports and Information Staff (ARISIS) by providing support for the development, production, and dissemination of high-quality, timely, and reliable statistical reports on educational topics, with relevance to the needs of policy makers, researchers, and the general public. Our program has responsibility for three major annual reports, The Condition of Education (http://nces.ed.gov/programs/coe/), Digest of Education Statistics (http://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/), and Indicators of School Crime and Safety (http://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=2011002). In addition to publications, ARIS is responsible for short time-line special analyses, analytic papers, and website materials. Candidates hired for the position will have the option to work from any of AIR's domestic office locations or work remotely.
