Job Summary The College of Education seeks an Associate Dean for Accreditation, Partnerships & Educator Preparation* *to oversee undergraduate and graduate curricula and provide leadership and strategic vision to the College's research mission. The Associate Dean position reports to the Dean and serves as a member of the College leadership team. This position is a 12-month tenure-track appointment starting Academic Year 2022-2023. *Reporting Relationships**Reports to: *Dean, College of Education*Partners with:*Campus Researchers and University Leaders*Relates to: *College of Education Department Chairs and Associate Dean of Academics and ResearchResponsibilities
* The Associate Dean will provide accreditation leadership for all initial and advanced program accreditation and certificate-only programs (GaPSC and CACREP).
* Leadership of Educator Preparation Programs: The Associate Dean will collaborate with the COE Dean, Associate Dean of Academics and Research, Department Chairs and Program Directors overseeing the policies that create, foster and sustain excellence in educator preparation programs.
* Recruiting: This individual will be responsible for all face-to-face and virtual recruiting efforts in the COE. They will ensure the recruitment, matriculation, and graduation of outstanding COE undergraduate and graduate students.
* Coordination of Strategic P·12 Partnerships: These include but are not limited to the East P20 Collaborative, the CSRA Induction Collaborative, the CSRA Leadership Collaborative, the High School Education and Health Sciences Pathways, the Inspiring Men of Color in Education Initiative, Teachers for Tomorrow, and the Troops to Teachers Task Force.
* Teaching Responsibilities: This individual will teach a minimum of one course in the COE each academic year.
* All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
An earned doctorate from an accredited college/university in one of the college program areas or a closely related fieldMinimum of five years of college/university teaching experienceEstablished record of teaching, scholarship, and service meriting an appointment as an Associate Professor or higher with tenure in one of the Colleges three departmentsOutstanding communication skills which include written, oral, listening, and public speaking abilityStrong leadership, collaboration, and supervisory skillsCommitment to international opportunities for students and facultyTechnology competencePreferred Qualifications
