Join the World's Test Pilot School (TPS) providing instruction for professional aviators and engineers to train in the science and discipline of Flight Test. NTPS represents several firsts in the Flight Test Education world:

- First TPS approved to award Masters Degrees.
- First TPS to be certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) for Test Pilot training.
- First TPS to be institutionally accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (WSCUC)
- First TPS to obtain ISO-9001-2015 certification. Small class sizes ensure quality instruction and attention to student needs. Students are typically hand-picked and represent a cross section of U.S. international partners with most being officers in an allied military service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform academic instruction in the breadth of aeronautical engineering subjects to include: aerodynamics (subsonic, transonic and supersonic), flying qualities (stability and control, static stability, dynamic stability), advanced flight control systems (closed loop control and feedback theory), and propulsion systems (reciprocating engines, turbine engines, propeller theory).
- Serve as the CAO overseeing academic activities.
- Maintain and develop changes to the academic curriculum and syllabus. Responsible for maintenance of the NTPS Student Catalog.
- Coordinate with instructional staff on the conduct of the NTPS syllabus.
- Perform as the Academic Liaison Officer with accrediting bodies such as WSCUC, ABET and BPPE.
- Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress into a Chief Academic Officer role.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Required)
- Aeronautical Engineering knowledge.
- Classroom presentation skills.
- English language fluency.
- 3 years classroom instruction experience in aeronautical engineering at the undergraduate or post graduate level.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Preferred):
- Experience with university accreditation bodies (WSCUC, ABET, BPPE and EASA) such as accreditation submissions, report development and coordination.
- Experience in the planning, conduct, data analysis and reporting of flight test activities.
- Practical experience in Aeronautical Engineering design or research.
- Experience with university accreditation bodies (WSCUC, ABET, BPPE and EASA) such as accreditation submissions, report development and coordination.
- 5 years classroom instruction experience at the undergraduate or post graduate level.
- Aviation experience such as a pilot's or airframe and powerplant mechanic certificate(s).
- Foreign language fluency in French, German, Italian or Spanish.
Educational & Professional Certification Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or similar discipline required.
- PhD in Aeronautical Engineering or similar discipline preferred
