We invite applications from dedicated scholars keen to join a dynamic team and make a strong contribution to both research and teaching, as well as our student enterprise and business engagement activities.

The successful applicants will lead and contribute to the delivery of Business Analytics modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In particular, the post holders will be expected to provide teaching in one or more of the following: data analytics, statistics, decision analysis, Soft OR, advanced spreadsheet modelling, simulation, performance management, project management, optimisation, or possibly new modules in the successful candidates' own area of expertise.

In addition to previous teaching experience, the post holders should have a clearly defined research or scholarship agenda with a track record or clear potential to publish in top peer-reviewed journals (E&R) or professional journals (ES&P). Evidence of income generation, research impact (E&R), scholarship or corporate engagement is expected in the case of appointments to Senior Lecturer level. Although all cognate areas of Business Analytics will be considered, we are particularly interested in applicants with research or scholarship expertise in areas that the Department of Analytics, Operations and Systems is looking to grow, including (but not limited to) decision analysis, simulation, Soft OR, Systems Thinking, performance management, and optimisation.

We encourage applications from both research-led educators and experienced scholars with experience in demand-driven curriculum development, technology-enabled learning, and/or executive education and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. You will be a research-led educator (E&R) or an experienced scholar (ES&P) with experience in demand-driven curriculum development, technology-enabled learning, and/or executive education and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.

While the posts will be based at Canterbury, the successful candidates may be expected to take up teaching and other responsibilities at the University's other campuses, study centres and off-campus for the delivery of Degree and Higher Degree Apprenticeships and the international MSc programme in Hong Kong (short-term visits only).
