The role

The School for Policy Studies is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Public Policy to expand and complement our current excellent teaching and research activities in this area. The School has an exceptional reputation and the appointee will join an ambitious and collegial School that pushes forward intellectual debates and real-world solutions to a range of policy and social dilemmas within an interdisciplinary environment.

What will you be doing?

The successful applicant will be engaged in research, teaching and administration. With expertise in public policy, they will be able to publish high-quality outputs and have the potential to gain grants. They will be able to deliver a high-quality student experience, contributing primarily to our highly regarded Masters in Public Policy and newly launched Masters in Public Policy Analysis (distance learning). They will be highly collegial and have an appetite for developing both their own career and supporting the development of the wider School.

You should apply if

you have: expertise in public policy; demonstrable experience of delivering high-quality lectures and seminars; the ability to deliver a high-quality student experience using online technologies; the ability to carry out academic administrative duties effectively; excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to produce high-quality publications; interest in securing external grant funding.
