Lecturer in Civil Engineering

We have an excellent opportunity for a Lecturer in Civil Engineering

We're seeking a Civil Engineer who is highly motivated, independent, and passionate about research and teaching, capable of producing high-quality, impactful research outputs and delivering inspirational and engaging teaching and supervision of undergraduates and postgraduates, driving strong outcomes for students.

We're interested in candidates who are at the beginning of their academic career as well as experienced colleagues who can already demonstrate leadership in research, teaching and enterprise.

This position will be best suited to to people with expertise in Transport Planning, or Transport Engineers, and we are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals who have experience of teaching communication (primarily drawing and modelling), construction or highway design.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a Civil Engineering related topic and have some experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are also very interested in suitably qualified candidates from industry who can also demonstrate equivalent experience and ability, such as membership of a civil engineering institution (ideally ICE, IStructE, CIHT, IHE or PWI).
