YOUR ROLE
  • Job Summary
  • Carry out new product and technology development work of hotmelt and water-based adhesive products for consumer goods market.
  • Strive for IP protection of key innovation solutions.
  • Drive key raw material screening. Work with key raw material suppliers to develop high impact innovation solutions.
  • Carry out product modification, raw material replacement, localization and cost saving projects.
  • Collaborate with operation team for product scale-up, production process improvement and resolving product quality issues.
  • Support the current product portfolio, develop new raw materials with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with application engineering, sales, business development on delivering innovation solutions and solving technical issues.
  • Work closely with regional and global technical team to leverage technology with collaboration.
  • Provide technical trainings internally and externally.
  • Follow Henkel SHE rules, participate site safety / 5S programs. Be responsible for leading and ensuring a safe working environment and EH&S compliance.
  • Travel to customers and plants if needed.

  • New product and technology development for various applications, drive IP protection, knowledge sharing in regional and global technical community 50%
  • Product modification, raw material replacement, localization, cost saving 25%
  • product scale-up, production process improvement and resolving product quality issues 10%
  • Supporting application engineering / sales 10%
  • Customer visit 5%

YOUR SKILLS
  • Required Qualifications
  • Master degree or above in chemistry, polymer materials or chemical engineering.
  • Experience with waterbuses technology is preferred.
  • Polymer material background is preferred.
  • 4-7 year working experience in chemical industries.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple functions departments.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Skills and Experience Desired
  • Ok for travelling
