Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing, Non-Tenure Track

Ohio University Zanesville is seeking candidates for a non-tenure-track instructional faculty position. Available August 16, 2022 to teach medical-surgical and pharmacology nursing courses.

Teaching will be primarily at the ADN and BSN degree levels. The individual is expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using various methods and delivery modes. Advising is part of the instructional role, and faculty participate in these activities.

Service on committees in the School of Nursing and at the Zanesville campus is expected but participation in scholarship is not required.

We seek a candidate with a commitment in working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. A Master's degree with a major in nursing is required by the time of application. At least two (2) years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Must hold a current license or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio as a registered nurse.

Preferred Qualifications: At least five (5) years of experience in the nursing profession with at least two (2) years as a faculty member in an ADN or BSN program is preferred.
