The Department of Health and Human Sciences seeks a full-time visiting assistant professor to teach exercise physiology and other health sciences courses as expertise allows. Additional responsibilities will include advising, mentoring students, and participating in departmental and committee tasks. This position will start August 2022.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a master's degree in exercise physiology or related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have dual credentialing as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, have a terminal degree, and can demonstrate successful higher education teaching experience.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as the first coeducational college in Virginia. Bridgewater offers bachelor's degrees in approximately 60 majors and minors, along with four graduate programs, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, and teacher licensure. The College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, with 23 intercollegiate athletic teams. The vibrant residential campus is located in the town of Bridgewater, Virginia, near the city of Harrisonburg in the center of the Shenandoah Valley.
