The Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies is seeking to hire a nine-month, non-tenure-track clinical assistant professor in Kinesiology. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. The position begins August 1, 2022 and is a one year appointment.

The department is home to 24 faculty members and 8 staff members. There are two undergraduate majors: Kinesiology, and Recreation & Sport Management. In total, there are approximately 1,400 undergraduate majors. There are several Master's degree programs, and a PhD degree program in Kinesiology and Sport Studies.


The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellent teaching in undergraduate classes. Additionally, they will be expected to supervise graduate teaching assistants who teach laboratory courses, and engage in service activities at the department, college and university level.


Required: The successful candidate for this position must have a PhD in Kinesiology (Exercise Physiology) or a closely related field. They must have experience teaching (or be very comfortable teaching) exercise physiology and fitness testing & exercise prescription at the undergraduate level.

Desired: Experience teaching large class sizes ( >100 students).


Salary is dependent on qualifications, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.
