The Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Division comprises a vibrant collection of over 20 areas of study that include the arts, world languages, professional-career programs, and array of disciplines that study the relationships between the individual, culture, politics, and society. *What you will be working on:*
* Prepare and deliver instruction
* Assess student work

*What you bring as a candidate:* (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
* Master's degree, or equivalent in English or related field, for example Composition and Rhetoric, Literature, Ethnic/Cultural Studies, or Creative Writing.
* English composition teaching experience in post-secondary education environments.
* Experience in a variety of teaching situations, for example online, hybrid modalities, and/or team-teaching in interdisciplinary learning communities.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and/or lived experience that speak to the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* Demonstrated work in anti-bias, anti-racist curricula, pedagogy, and assessment.
* Experience engaging in collaborative (e.g., committee, team-teaching or co-teaching) work with colleagues on campus and/or comm unities.
* Proven competency in English written communication as well as information literacy skills.
* Demonstrated experience teaching English-language learners in post-secondary education environments.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or research in Ethnic/Cultural Studies.
* Documented success using Canvas (or another learning management system) to enhance student learning.
*Physical Requirements:*
Ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
