**EVENING SHIFT POSITION**
Position Highlights:
The Assistant Unit Director (AUD) is the clinical liaison and business manager of the Emergency Department. You will be part of the team responsible for nursing practice as a key member of the leadership team.
The AUD is the Unit Director designee and implements initiatives in support of the unit vision, while managing human, operational and organizational systems that support patient care.
The emergency department, (ED), at Rush university Medical Center, is designated as a comprehensive emergency department and Associate Hospital by the Illinois Region XI EMS. The ED is also carries the certification of Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center and an Emergency Department approved for Pediatrics by IDPH.
The ED has 57 treatment rooms; 6 observation rooms. This space has state of the art accommodations and equipment for patients, families, and staff.
This is an Evening position - 2:00 pm - Midnight ,

Position Responsibilities:
The Assistant Unit Director serves as the clinical liaison and assistant business manager for the Emergency Department.
Accountability for nursing practice as a key member of the leadership team.
Serves as the Unit Director ( UD) designee in the absence of UD
Implements initiatives in support of the unit vision, while managing human, operational and organizational systems that support patient care.

Position Qualifications Include:

Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
BLS and ACLS required. (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only)
3-5 years recent emergency room experience required.
Previous experience as a charge nurse required.
Demonstrated progressive, proficient management and leadership skills
National Nursing Certification required within 12 months of hire.
