Job Description:
During the college year, provide professional nursing services appropriate to students served by the Wellness Center located at the SUNY Poly Utica site. Per the NYS Education Law "diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and executing medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under this title and in accordance with the commissioners regulations." This position will also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, function as a member of a treatment team and other reasonable duties as assigned. This is a part-time (20 hours/week), 10 month position.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license with 3-5 years clinical experience.
Associate's degree in relevant field from a college or university accredited by the US Dept. of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
Ability to make medical judgments in accordance with established procedures and the ability to prioritize and evaluate both medical treatment and administrative tasks while dealing with inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field from a college or university accredited by the US Dept. of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Experience in a college or school setting is preferred.
