Student Services is a diverse group of services and one of the largest Professional Services departments in the University; at the heart of what we do is a passion for enhancing our students' experiences. In the Student Hub, our job is to take ownership of student queries, providing timely solutions and consistent advice, giving our students the opportunity to focus on their studies and make positive memories that will last a lifetime.
About the role
The Student Hub are seeking a passionate and motivated advisor who will work to support our students across a 24/7 service, with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off rota, working a 12 hour shift from 08:00 until 20:00. This post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for the provision of advice, information and guidance to University of Southampton students and customers on a wide array of subjects including student fees and funding, accommodation, graduation, careers events and ID cards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual who is interested in enhancing their customer service skills.
About you
A successful Student Hub Advisor will possess excellent customer service skills, as well as a competency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning service specific software and internal systems. A knowledge of higher education, student support and issues effecting students from a wide range of backgrounds is desirable. The role involves interaction with our students and the successful candidate must be a good communicator, both written and verbal, and confident working alongside a variety of colleagues, and building relationships.
