The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly valued team, based within the Research and Enterprise Division. You will work within the Impact Development team to administer internal funding competitions, disseminate funding opportunities and support related activities in relation to impact development.
This is a part time position and currently has funding secured until 28/02/2025. This post is funded from the University's impact acceleration accounts from UKRI, including the AHRC and MRC. The team's ambition is to extend this funding through regular grant applications to these and other funders.
What will you be doing?
You will administer internal funding competitions including management of budgets for devolved funding. You will act as a first contact for academic and industry enquiries and reporting. You will develop an understanding of the range of collaborative activities between the University, industry and other external organisations, and have the opportunity to build knowledge to advise researchers on the funding opportunities available.
You should apply if
You should hold a first degree or have equivalent professional experience and have relevant experience of research funding and administration.
A good understanding of and empathy with a high calibre University research culture will be particularly useful.
Strong interpersonal, organisational and team working skills are essential as are excellent IT skills.
